I have suffered from horrible anxiety and agoraphobia for as long as I can remember. It has made my life very difficult and difficult for those around me.
Some of my boys are starting to show signs of depression and anxiety. My son, Dallin, told me a quote from a movie “The hardest part of having a mental illness is the world expects you to behave like you don’t.”
Mental Illness is not only hard for the person that has it but also the care givers. I am now including a whole section in my Planners on mental illness.
The one I turn to most often is “Discerning Your Feelings: Anxiety or the Spirit? By Debra Theobald McClendon PhD Psychologist.”
I hope everyone gets the help they need. Remember “there is no shame in the pill game.”
